Report photos
Add, arrange, and caption photos for property and termite reports.
Choose your inspector type
Open an editable report from Jobs, then open the finding that needs photos. Property and termite reports share the photo editor.
Add photos
Select Add photos in the finding and choose your files. Where Unused photos is shown, select existing photos, then Add photos.
Uploads accept JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, or HEIF, up to 20 MB and 48 megapixels per photo.
Open a finding and select its camera or photo-library action. Termite findings show Camera and Library under Photos.
- Camera: Take a photo, then select the thumbnail to review it. Use the flash or camera-flip controls when needed.
- Library: Choose photos from your phone.
Select a photo to edit it, then Done to return. For termite findings, select Save to keep newly added photos.
Review and arrange photos
Select a photo to open it. Use the thumbnail strip to switch photos.
Drag thumbnails into report order. You can also use the previous and next arrows to review photos.
For several photos, select Select photos, choose the thumbnails, then use Duplicate, Delete, or the available move action. The button shows the selected count. Finish selecting leaves selection mode.
Press and hold a thumbnail, then drag it into order. Pinch the photo to zoom and drag to inspect it. Select another thumbnail to switch photos.
For termite findings, return to the finding and select Save to keep the new order.
In property Unused photos, select Select or press and hold a photo to choose several. In a property finding, use its photo selection action. Select Photo actions for Move or Duplicate; the red trash button deletes the selection. Cancel leaves selection mode.
Use photo markups to point out a detail with an arrow or box.
Make a separate copy
Select photos, then choose Duplicate. On mobile, this is under Photo actions in property findings and Unused photos. Copies keep captions, marks, rotation, and the original photo for Reset. Later edits or deletion affect each copy on its own.
Finding copies appear beside their originals. Copies in Unused photos appear at the top. Only the new copies stay selected, so you can move or edit them next. Equipment links are not copied.
Web copying needs a connection. Mobile can copy property photos offline when their files are already on the phone. Keep the screen open until copying finishes.
Add a caption
Select Add caption beneath the photo and enter a short description, such as Damaged trim at the rear door. Select an existing caption to edit it.
Select the checkmark or press Enter to finish typing. Escape restores the caption from before that edit. Use the caption's trash button to remove it.
Select the checkmark, keyboard Done, or the photo to finish typing. Use the caption's trash button to clear it; Undo restores a cleared caption.
Select the editor's Done to return to the finding.
Captioned thumbnails show a caption badge. Reports display up to two caption lines in a dark footer inside the photo. Keep wording short enough to read there.
Save or remove photos
Caption and markup edits to saved photos save automatically. Mobile stores changes on the device, then syncs them when connected. Photos added to a draft stay with that draft until the finding is saved.
Use Delete photo to remove a photo, then confirm when asked. Use Undo when offered. Deleting a photo and removing one arrow or box are separate actions.
If a save fails, use Retry before leaving. An issued report keeps its saved photos and captions; editing the current report does not replace a PDF already issued.
