Mark cantilevers

Mark projecting wall and deck spans, including overhangs and supports.

Mark a span

  1. Select a straight exterior wall or deck edge.
  2. Turn on Cantilever.
  3. Drag the two end handles to cover the span.

Select an unmarked part of the same edge to add another span. Each mark keeps its own range and settings.

Click the outside wall again if the first click selects the whole structure. For a deck, enter Edit shape and select its edge. Use the end handles or From (in) / To (in) to set the range.

Mark onlyA broken line on the selected edge.Walls and decks.
Overhang aboveA dash-dot line at the chosen depth.Exterior walls.
Support belowA dashed line at the chosen depth.Walls and decks.

Set the depth

Choose Overhang above or Support below, then use the Depth minus and plus controls.

Choose Overhang above or Support below to open the depth controls. Use minus or plus. The Depth side action reopens those controls; Back returns to the modes.

Each press changes depth by 4 inches. Reducing it to zero returns to Mark only. Switching between above and below keeps the depth. Flip side, when available, moves the boundary to the opposite side.

Remove a mark

Select the marked span. On the web, turn off Cantilever; in the mobile app, select Remove. This removes the mark, not the wall or deck edge. Use Undo to restore it.

The marks follow wall and deck edits and appear in the exported diagram and report.
