Add stairs and access points
Show stairs, attic and crawlspace access, and chimneys.
Open the diagram. These features move freely; they do not need a wall host.
Add stairs
Select Features → Stairs, then click to place them. Select Shape to choose Straight, L-shaped, or U-shaped.
Select Features → Stairs, then tap to place them or drag from the dock. Select Shape in the side controls to choose the stair layout.
Drag the stairs to move them. Drag a round end handle to change that flight's width and length. A count appears as you resize; the drawn steps fill each flight.
Selecting any part of the stairs selects the whole staircase. For L-shaped or U-shaped stairs, drag a white landing corner to resize along each axis. On the web, Width and Length scale the whole stair.
While resizing, moving edges snap to nearby walls and porch or deck edges. On the web, hold Option/Alt to resize without edge snapping.
Drag the rotation handle to turn the whole stair. Weight → Thin / Heavy changes the line style.
Add an access hatch
Choose Openings → Access hatch and place it where the inspector enters. Set Type to Crawlspace or Attic.
Drag the hatch to move it. Drag a corner to resize it in proportion.
Use the hatch's rotation handle to turn it. Choose the type in its floating controls.
Use Type and Rotate in the side controls. Back returns to the main diagram tools.
Add a chimney
Choose Openings → Chimney, then click to place it.
Choose Openings → Chimney, then tap to place it or drag from the dock.
Drag the chimney to move it; drag a corner to resize it. The symbol stays upright.
Copy or remove a feature
On the web, select stairs, a hatch, or a chimney and use Cmd/Ctrl+C, then Cmd/Ctrl+V. Click to place the copy; Esc cancels.
Select a feature and choose Delete to remove it. Undo restores it. Moving, rotating, or flipping a whole structure also moves the features that belong to it.
