Prepare work authorization
Offer termite recommendations for the client to approve.
Open a termite report from Jobs, select Edit, then turn on Work authorization in the outline.
A work authorization belongs to its report. Noma records approval, invoices, and closeout documents; your company arranges and performs the work.
Prepare the offered work
- Review each finding and recommendation.
- Set a price or label for every recommendation you want to offer. Blank pricing leaves it on the report only.
- Open Work authorization and review Terms template.
- Choose Estimate based on → Primary recommendations or Secondary recommendations.
The estimate does not choose work for the client. They start with no work selected and can inspect each offered recommendation.
Add charges
In Additional charges, select Add charge. Enter a name. Select Price, then Amount or Not priced yet. Set the amount if known, then select the work under Applies to. Select Add charge, or Save changes when editing.
An amount may be $0, a positive price, or a range such as $0–$500. Each charge counts once when the client selects linked work, even if it applies to several items. Not priced yet adds no known amount to the estimate.
Issue and track the authorization
Finish the report. The client opens its link to choose and approve work.
Open the job's Documents to view the authorization and its response. Approved work stays tied to the exact signed report. A later report revision does not change that approval.
Use Billing to invoice approved work. Use a notice of work complete to record the outcome. Neither action replaces the other.
Close an unanswered authorization
In Documents, open the authorization's menu and select Close work authorization. Review any eligible invoice cleanup and Send closure emails, then confirm.
This is available for an eligible unanswered offer. It stops new approval without cancelling the inspection report, visit, or job. Signed choices stay fixed. There is no reopen action; a new offer needs a new report containing work authorization.
