Property fieldwork

Record findings, review equipment, and finish a property visit in the app.

Open a property visit in the Noma app. Fieldwork must be open to change findings, photos, or inspection progress. Use Reopen fieldwork when available.

Open a subsection

Expand an Inspection areas folder.

SelectOpens
Subsection nameIts findings.
Round status circleFinding tools and completion actions.
All findingsThe visit's Findings and Equipment tabs.
Unused photosPhotos not attached to a finding.

Counts show findings within each subsection. A flag marks a subsection with flagged findings. Area progress counts completed and uninspectable subsections.

Add a finding

Select the subsection's status circle, or open its findings and select Add new.

ActionUse
Manually typeEnter finding text.
SpeakRecord an observation.
Add commentInsert reusable wording.
Take photoStart with photo evidence.

Review the wording, severity, and photos. Select Save finding. A finding needs text or a photo; severity alone does not save one.

Open an existing finding to edit it. Changes save on the phone, then sync when connected. Back waits for the local save. If saving fails, keep the editor open and retry.

Use Flag finding for follow-up and Remove flag when resolved. Flagging does not change severity. Swipe left in the findings list to Delete, then confirm. Undo remains available for six seconds while you stay in the list.

Complete a subsection

Open its status circle.

ActionResult
No issuesComplete a subsection with no findings.
Mark completeComplete a subsection that has findings.
Couldn't inspect → Not present / InaccessibleMark an empty subsection uninspectable.
ReopenAllow more findings. Keep ordinary findings.

Your quick-response settings decide whether No issues, Not present, or Inaccessible also adds a finding. Reopen removes that linked response, not other findings. Reopen a closed subsection before adding more.

Arrange findings and areas

Open All findings → Findings, then expand an area and subsection.

Select Reorder:

ModeAction
FindingsDrag a finding within or between subsections. Hold over a closed area to expand it.
AreasDrag area folders into order.

Drag the grips to reorder; drag the row body to scroll.

Each drop saves. Done closes the reorder view. If Move not saved appears, the last saved order returns; try again.

Change the inspection structure

TaskAction
Add an areaEdit beside Inspection areas → Add area. Enter a unique name, then Add area.
Add a subsectionArea menu → Add subsection. Enter its name, then Add subsection.
Rename an areaArea menu → Rename. Enter its name, then Save.
Copy an areaArea menu → Duplicate → With findings / Without findings. Review the name, then Duplicate.
Rename a subsectionIts status circle → menu → Rename subsection → Save subsection.
Delete an area or subsectionOpen its menu, choose the delete action, then confirm.

With findings copies findings and their photos. Without findings keeps the structure with no findings or progress. Deleting structure removes its findings; photos return to Unused photos. Use Undo when offered.

Review equipment and visit details

Open All findings → Equipment. Units are grouped by area; Unplaced holds units without a location. Select a unit to review its facts, specifications, and evidence photos. Equipment photos can add units to this list.

Open Settings → Inspection details for:

GroupDetails
PropertyBuilding and foundation type, floors, bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage, year built.
Site conditionsTemperature, weather, recent rain, ground condition.
Occupancy and servicesOccupancy, attendance, utilities.

Select a row to edit. Choices save with Back; number fields use Save.

Finish fieldwork

Select Finish fieldwork on the visit.

  1. In Inspection details, review the nine key detail groups. Select a row to edit it, then select Continue.
  2. In Review and finish, check Details, Invoice, and Unused photos. Select Details to return to the answers.
  3. Select Finish fieldwork.

Missing details do not block finishing. The invoice row is a summary, not an invoice editor; offline it may show the last known result. Finishing waits for local edits, but uploads and report preparation may continue.

Use Open report in browser to review and publish the report.

To start over with another template, open Settings → Inspection template while connected. Read the warning before Change template. It replaces areas and clears findings, equipment, and progress; photos become unused. Visit details, notes, invoices, contracts, and earlier reports remain.
